The Future of Education
The state of Israel isn't a country that can rely on producing any natural resource in order to maintain the stability of the country but rather it must rely solely on the quality of it's citizens. Never the less, the states characteristic of being a Jewish-Democratic society constantly challenges the social stability of the state that demands continuous clarification of mutual values.
Everyone agrees that the future of the state of Israel is stipulated by the existence of a quality Education System which is equally available to all if it's citizens
Although, something doesn't allow us to move forward ?
The latest statistics display a significant deterioration in the function of the Education System in Israel. This deterioration is apparent to every citizen of the state. The status of instructors is at a low-point, the students' achievements are the poorest of all times and the social gaps between pupils across Israel are of the highest known in the Western World. The feeling of alienation, emptiness and violence have become a familiar routine regardless of the few examples of wonderful achievements and success in education.
Doesn't someone have an idea how we break out of this situation?
From 1978 up until today countless committees were formed to improve the Education System but unfortunately the improvements were small and insignificant in successfully achieving any precedent change to the system.
It appears as though the solution is in arms reach although the Education System in Israel is suffering from neglect in genera.

What do we mean by "neglect"?
The "neglect" stems from The lack of identification among politicians and other public figures to minorities at the lowest end of the socio-economic scale where the education in their community isn't put at the forefront of the local Municipalities agenda. Another influencing circumstance is the short-term government turnover that doesn't allow for the long- lasting activities to come about in order to make a significant and continuing change. The centralized organizational structure of the Education System makes it difficult for it's bureaucratic systems to efficiently promote processes that will make a change
As citizens (including teachers), we know that the situation is terrible, although we don't really know all of the details in order to make an educated list of priorities that will enable a significant change to be made. In this kind situation, the people that are promoting this change aren't receiving the public's support in order to pressure the government to prioritize improving the Education provided in Israel for a safer and stable tomorrow.
Who are the people (players) promoting this change in Education?
The situation in Israel is uniquely unusual .Years of political arguments around this matter have left most of the citizens behind in being familiar with the Education System in Israel. As a result parent committees insist on unifying in order to become significant players in making a change. In the base of Teacher Union in Israel lies a deep social tradition which is very active on the field but more than once prefers narrow organizational interests that put their benefits before anything activities that will improve the teachers and pupils conditions . The Israeli government turns over it's responsibility to the Finance Ministry to contend with the Ministry of Education this meaning with the Teachers Union. This is why the Education System in Israeli is where it is as a result of the quality of compromise between these two players.

We believe most of the general public will find an interest and will want to be involved in order to expedite achievements and improvements both in the field of education (from the bottom)and also in the field of educational policies. "We" are not only educators but also parents and citizens that are concerned.
